Liquidware Amber – The open source movement has always faced idealism of the closure, where a company says its hold on the software and hardware to pretend to offer a quality experience and without headaches for the user. But this mindset is not necessarily shared by all potential users. Android has always moved behind the sheet open-source. However most of the material that coats the OS owns the sources and explaining how the hardware is released at the discretion of the manufacturer – Texas Instruments, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Samsung etc.. Thus it would be fairer to say that they are terminals Android source-clopen.

The open-source scene is a place that is full of ideas and complex projects. Issues to which the terminals widely distributed do not know answer. To remedy this, large projects of open source materials have emerged as the Arduino or the famous Raspberry Pi This week, a company providing development tools of any kind to individuals, companies and universities, named Liquidware Amber, has presented its new tablet dedicated to the projects: the Liquidware Amber. Liquidware is not his first attempt since it was shown during the presentation of OpenBerry, gamepack OpenPSP and other kit.

So we end up with a capacitive multi-screen tablet 7-inch 800 by 480 resolution, with TI OMAP3730 processor at 1 GHz – ARM Cortex-A8 – aided by 512 MB of RAM. The storage is carried out externally by means of a microSD port. Slate runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread slightly modified. But this device shines book primarily supplied by its connectivity: 2 USB Host ports, a miniUSB port On-The-Go, a 3.5mm jack and five physical buttons, the user modifiable. Connectivity is not left behind as WiFi b / g, Ethernet and a USB 3G + module / pseudo-4G (AT & T) are part of the Pro version of Amber.

Precisely speaking version, be aware that Liquidware sells three models of Liquidware Amber: the basic, the Enhanced and Pro. The differences are performed at the storage capacity sold – 8 to 16 GB Class 10 – 3G module only present on the Liquidware Amber Pro and the capacity of the battery included or not. Amber has no battery, only its power supply 19V while the Enhanced and Pro models have a built respectively in 5600 and 8400 mAh. Of course, to promote direct access to various components and for optimal integration, Amber shelves have no protective shell. Finally, regarding the price, the Classic Amber will ask for $ 983, the Liquidware Amber Enhanced $ 1283 and $ 1674 Liquidware Amber Pro.

new Macbook Pro: Panels “Retina” would cost double the current

Much has been speculated in recent months on the next update of the series of laptops from Apple, new Macbook Pro, especially on the integration of screens “post FullHD” or 2K as they are called now, that like in the new iPad would serve to provide unprecedented accuracy to the new laptops from the Cupertino firm. The latest reports say that the line will probably be announced in June will include panels 2.560×1.600 pixels for the 13.3-inch model and up 2.880×1.800 pixels for the 15.4-inch model, virtually doubles the pixel density of the models currently available on the market, which come almost on the name “Retinal Display” with over 220 dpi, making it (almost) every bite of the apple products incorporating this type of panel, unifying all the lines under the same identity.

But what does this cost level? Sharpness double Apple will increase the production costs of the Macbook, computers today are not known for being very cheap, bad news for the company as possible for consumers interested in these high-performance laptops. Not only doubles the number of vertical and horizontal pixels on the screen – a total of four times the 2011 models – but also multiply almost doubled the price of these panels, while the company pays at present an estimated approximately $ 69 per panel for their laptops, the screen resolution 2,560 x 1,600 pixels would cost at least U.S. $ 134 per unit to the manufacturer California. The estimate gets worse for panels of 15 inches with a resolution 2.880×1.800, which would rise to a total of $ 160.

No surprise, of course, as any new technology is significantly more expensive than earlier in the same segment, but is something that could prove costly – pun intended – to Apple. The company policy for some time is to try to provide each new update of its product lines at a price equal to or less than before, as has happened with the new iPad, whose price does not exceed $ 499 iPad 2 despite Retina impressive display and the new chips Apple A5X. Logic dictates that the same will happen with the new Macbook Pro, with the signing of Tim Cook should bear the higher costs of these panels, reducing their profit margins – mainly what keeps the company in a privileged economic position compared with many other manufacturers – Other costs related to materials production would also be increased, a more bitter pill to Cook, “Jony” Ive and the rest of the brains behind the ever popular Macbook.

Be seen whether Apple will honor his philosophy and finally his 2012 notebook line pair comes with a price not exceeding current, or if instead the increase in production costs will affect the consumer, or even ends with the cancellation of the project , confining ourselves as usual to an upgrade of internal components, with Ivy Bridge CPUs of 22 nanometers and new mobile GPUs NVIDIA Kepler, who have had enough strength and are beginning to appear in many of the new high performance laptop assemblers more pointers. Being objective does not appear that an increase between 60 and 100 dollars in the price of a hypothetical Macbook with Retinal Display can deter a consumer believes. Would you be willing to pay extra like that for a higher definition screen on this new Macbook Pro?

Pentax K-30 – Pentax is pretty discreet about their releases, not from the point of view of secrecy, but the number of models that premiered during the year, so every time we see a new model is a matter of surprise and expectation. This time a new model looms reflex camera of the firm, which has been filtered in the catalog of a store of French origin, showing a beautifully designed traditional style and a few features that promise to make it a new fetish of the most fans the cameras Pentax.

Pentax K-30

The new Pentax K-30 filtered initiation is a model that seeks to carve a niche among the many DSLR market in this segment, appearing over a year and a half after the last reflex “entry level” of the manufacturer with a 16 megapixel sensor and the ability to record video in 1080p (FullHD) if the prospectus published in French. But the “revolutionary” in this K-30 is its exterior, the new Pentax camera will come with a body resistant to the weather – as usual in the units “weatherproof”, this means water resistance and dust – something that seems to be popular lately.

Other features, shared with its predecessor, the Pentax K-r, including a maximum 25,600 ISO mode and continuous shooting burst up to 4 frames per second. The new Pentax K-30 integrates a rear LCD screen of 3 inches to complement your display will be powered by either rechargeable or AA batteries, and come in a kit with a standard lens of 18-55 mm, typical economic level DSLRs . The catalog price announced Pentax K-30 by the source of the leak is 799 Euros, very much in line with the latest Entry Level SLR cameras.

Users on XDA-Developers believe that HTC has no real multitasking implemented in its flagship HTC One X. When switching over to another application, the old closed, said dissatisfied HTC One X users.

Now runs a 50-page topic about multitasking HTC One X on the XDA Developers. According to the users HTC has not implemented the multitask like that on other Android phones is the case. Once namely switching over to another application via the multitasking menu is the old app after about 30 seconds from the cache of the ram met. This has the result that the application exits, and will no longer start-up to its original state but on the contrary starts again as if it is opened.

Users can switch between applications and therefore not go into an app where they previously were. Thus, as an example of a music application itself after 30 seconds and shut the music stops playing. Then there is also no possibility to replay the song where he previously stopped.

HTC late in a reaction that indeed something has changed in the multitasking Sense 4.0 which includes the HTC One X can be found. The manufacturer is currently investigating the complaints in their own words but it believes that its method is the most ideal smartphone for smartphone because it unnecessarily taxed. The manufacturer makes no hint whether it plans to bring back original multitasking at its flagship HTC One X.

LG Optimus 4X HD – LG does it again: last week was the L-Style Series launched and now the news reached us that the LG Optimus 4X will come to Europe soon. The new flagship of LG in June will be launched in the following countries: Germany, Sweden, Italy, England and Poland. Unfortunately, the Netherlands is not among the first group with this quad-core smartphone to get started.

Quad-core

LG was the first manufacturer who was using a dual-core device came up. The LG Optimus 2X was the fastest device available at that time, but the device was, especially by the software, not an unqualified success. After the 3D equipment now comes with LG’s first quad-core device on the market. During the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona at the beginning of this year we can play equally with the LG Optimus 4X on the trading floor and the press conference.

Between the MWC and the release of this notice, there are a few small changes to the 4X. Thus, including the battery upgraded with the SiO+ battery technology that 2150mAH battery more power and stamina to give.

Update with Eco-Mode

The NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset uses four of its processor cores to perform its tasks quickly and efficiently to carry out, but when the unit is in standby, is a fifth core features that ensures that the energy use in this state goes down . LG promises an eco-fashion upgrade for LG Optimus 4X HD, which lets you manually disable a core to have more control over the energy consumption of the device. The biggest energy eater on the LG Optimus 4X HD 4.7-inch True HD IPS screen, where the colors will pop as usual from.

Plex Media

New on this LG phone is Media Plex, which your pictures and videos you create and play in very high quality. So you can use Media Plex, by means of a button on the progress bar of a video, a single frame of this video, zoom in and out while filming and playing thumbnail of a video while another video full-screen is played back.

The design that we like in the previous apparatus (L-style) have seen will also be pursued in this model, the side of the 8.9 mm thick prisms unit will be processed. The LG Optimus 4X HD will be out-of-the-box delivered with Android 4.0 with LG’s own layer. On the video below you can see more of the draft (and the prisms on) the unit. Unfortunately, the Netherlands will not hear the first countries in Western Europe where the LG Optimux 4X HD will be available in June. Therefore, we can also say nothing about the sales price to the device will hang. We are very curious whether the LG Optimus 4X HD indeed another step will be higher for LG.

Although the leaks and uncovered a couple of weeks ago, Sony has just unveiled the two latest additions to its portfolio of digital cameras, Sony NEX-F3 within the CSC camera line without a mirror, and the new camera Sony Alpha A37 translucent mirror . This second model is the replacement of the Sony Alpha A35 I saw the light of last year, and demonstrates the commitment of Sony cameras SLT (Single Lens Translucent) that lead them away at least for the time of traditional DSLRs. For some time Sony is focusing its efforts on creating devices capable of firing bursts of high speed, and the new Sony Alpha A37 would not be an exception, being one of the models with higher continuous shooting speed in its price range.

Looking very similar to the previous generation, Sony Alpha A37 integrates a smaller screen and lower resolution than the Sony Alpha A35 model, which is disappointing, although mounted on a tilting mechanism that moves the vertical panel to have a better perspective on some complicated shots requiring holding the camera in awkward positions. The APS-C sensor from 16.2 megapixels seems like the other series of the firm, manages a sensitivity range of ISO100 to 16,000, compared with up to ISO 12,800 of its predecessor. Like Sony NEX-F3, the Sony Alpha A37 can record video in FullHD 1080p features a new image processor and makes use of new scenes and effects found in the CSC, as the Self Portrait Framing (Auto framed portrait) that automatically cuts the shots in which a face is detected to create portraits with great expressiveness. The sensor also has image stabilization and auto focus system of 15 points.

Returning to the star feature of this unit, Sony Alpha A37 can shoot up to 7 frames per second burst, even when using continuous drive mode in Tele-zoom with aperture priority, which is quite interesting especially in photography in motion. The reason for the shutter speed is translucent mirror design, avoiding the need for this should be retracted to allow the light to the sensor, which increases the speed at which light both the sensor and auto-focus system. But due to the design the camera loses the optical viewfinder, and is limited to integrate an electronic viewfinder that as the firm is able to recreate in detail what is in the sensor, with a view of 100% and a resolution of 1440 points . The release date is still to be decided, although it Sony Alpha A37 is known that for about 600 Euros will come with a kit lens 18-55mm.

LG Optimus True HD LTE – LG wake up and presents two new Android handsets for the Swedish market this summer.
Galaxy S3 vs. LG Optimus 4X HD – Very intense week on our YouTube channel. A lot of the videos you’re proposing and that we are loading with important and exclusive previews. Today is the turn of a comparison really very interesting and expected. We speak of LG Optimus 4X HD and Samsung Galaxy S3, products not yet available, pre-release versions, but still be able to offer today a great user experience and an important software quality.

If we would have expected from Galaxy S3 top performances after the successes of Galaxy S2, altrettando could not be of the new LG. In reality we were very impressed as Optimus 4X is definitely very responsive, fast and pleasant to use. The web experience is very good, comparable in many respects with the Galaxy S3 and with some difference in the management of flash that is still better than HTC One X that, in fact, has the same hardware.

Such customization also see that a good integration with ICS and not completely overturn the interface as with the Holo Sense, beautiful but very different from Android.

Products hit the market at 599 € and 699 € for LG to Samsung, the official Italian prices. We also anticipate that LG is working well on updates and managing ICS with the Android 4.0.4 release we have tested it on other devices. Galaxy S3

iPhone 5 – The last days are being very fertile in terms of rumors related to the new Apple devices. Today it is the turn of the iPhone 5 is that from a very reliable source has confirmed that the new Apple phone would have a screen at least 4″, surpassing the 3.5″ that currently has the iPhone 4S.

Many of us iPhone users would see very favorably increased the size of the screen in the new iPhone 5 and it seems that Apple has echoed this and bet on it.

Other information that is very interesting is announcing a possible start of manufacturing of the new terminal in just over two weeks at the beginning of June. And with that, we again have June as reference and rumors circle, so can we expect the announcement of a iPhone 5 at WWDC this year? Personally I think not, and I’d bet a lot more to the announcement of the new MacBook Pro, but coming from Apple anything is possible.

In addition to this, the source that filters this information confirms that providers of these new screens will be Sharp, LG Display and Japan. Currently, LG is the manufacturer of the Retina Display the iPhone 4S, and in view of this new list of suppliers appears that in the iPhone 5 will expand the range of manufacturers. What does this mean? Actually, based on pure economic theory, Apple does not want to rely on a single manufacturer, such as LG and expanding the list of suppliers of displays, it increases competition and optimize prices. As a possible problem with this competitive advantage, we would have differences in quality, but this was solved with the certifications and quality control that Apple would create, so we can rest assured that if Apple finally decides to choose different suppliers to manufacture its Retina Display The quality and finish of them are identical.

Finally, it appears that Apple has decided to take the step and increase the size of the screen on the new iPhone motivated by the great hospitality that has been on the market of new Android handsets, which have increased considerably in size from 4 , 3 “of the famous Samsung Galaxy S II to 4.7 or 4.8″ models of the brand LG, HTC and Samsung, so it seems to be a standard pattern. iPhone 5

In our lifetime we will all suffer though a computer crash! That dreaded day when you go to your computer, push the on button and nothing happens. Or as you are working on that presentation due tomorrow and suddenly the horrible blue screen of death appears! A computer crash can be caused by several things:

An outdated or corrupted device driver

Your system has acquired a virus

A program that has become corrupted or unstable

An actual hardware failure

So while you are sitting there in tears or with frustration, remember there are a few things you try to get your computer functioning again.

First, if you saw an error message before the crash, or if it is still on the screen, write it down to refer to when diagnosing the problem. Then, try restarting the computer. Many times you will have to do a hard re-set after a crash to turn the computer on. When the computer is booting, notice anything out of the ordinary or different from normal. If your computer loads as normal take this as a good warning sign that there might be something amiss in your system and be thankful you have an opportunity to make a data backup to an external hard drive or server. Dell backup devices can help your business.

However, if your computer does not load correctly you may have a more serious problem. You may reach a screen where the computer allows you to select a different loading configuration such as Safe or Diagnostic mode. If you are having trouble loading your computer normally, choosing safe mode is a good option. Once you reach your desktop in safe mode, backup everything you can! Get a portable hard drive and copy every important file you can. Then, using your dell desktop security or other program, run a virus and malicious software scan to see if there is anything that has been recently changed on your computer that is causing the crash. Running these programs may fix software or virus related crash.

Many crashes that are driver, virus, or software related are easily fixed by just running your computer through the various diagnostic steps. By keeping your system up to date with a good virus protection program, and installing necessary updates. There is however a computer crash that is more damaging and harder to repair. A computer crash caused by a hardware failure, most commonly an actual hard drive failure, can be devastating.

A crash caused by a hardware failure means that there is physical damage to one part or another within the computer. If you hear grinding or clanking noises before your computer crashes, you may want to seek professional help immediately and avoid do-it-yourself solutions because in the case of an actual hardware failure this will cause more damage and loss of data. In this situation the best solution is taking the computer to a professional repair service where they have the skills necessary to rescue your data if not your computer.

Whether it’s a temporary crash or a more permanent one, at one point in time just about every computer will fail. The most important thing you can do is to backup your important files on a routine basis so if the crash is severe you will still at least have access to your electronic information.
